The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When ordering a replacement spacer plate for the above listed vehicles technicians may receive a plate with the gaskets bonded to the plate.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This plate is a direct replacement for the original spacer plate with removable gaskets. If performing a repair that does not require plate replacement i.e. transmission overhaul, gasket will come in the overhaul or gasket kit and can be obtained from GMSPO.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
