Removal Procedure
- Remove the push pins from the wheel opening flare.
- Starting from one end of the flare remove the wheel opening flare from the front fender.
- Clean the area in order to remove any dirt or adhesive from the fender.
Installation Procedure
Important: Install in an environment that is free from dust or dirt. Dust and dirt could come in contact with the adhesive surface and prevent proper adhesion.
- Clean the area where the wheel opening flare is to be mounted.
Use a suitable solvent, such as flash naphtha or a mixture of 50 percent isopropal alcohol and 50 percent water.
- Dry the area thoroughly.
- Warm the body panel with a heat gun J 25070
to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
Important: Do not touch the adhesive surface when the tape is removed.
- Remove the adhesive tape from the wheel opening flare.
- Install the wheel opening flare to the rear fender.
- Install the push pins to retain the wheel opening flare.
