Preliminary Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
156 N·m (115 lb ft)

Tip
When installing the NEW gasket, apply a small amount of clean grease to hold the gasket in place while aligning the mounting hole in the axle shaft and the hub.
