- Disconnect the park brake cable from the actuator.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten 15 N·m (11 lb ft)
Tip Use the appropriate cleaner to clean the work area. |

| Clip, Park Brake Shoe Retaining (Qty: 2)
Tip If the retaining clips are found to be damaged, replace the retaining clips. |

| Shoe and Lining, Park Brake
Tip
• | Turn the park brake shoe adjuster screw until it is fully retracted. |
• | When removing or installing the park brake shoe, place the open end of the park brake shoe over the axle flange and rotate it until the shoe has cleared the flange. |
• | When installing the park brake shoe, apply a small amount of brake lubricant to the brake shoe and the backing plate contact points. |

Tip
• | Clean the threads of the adjuster screw to remove any corrosion. Apply a light coat of high temperature brake lubricant to the adjuster screw threads. |
• | Turn the park brake shoe adjuster screw until it is fully retracted. |
