Subject: Vehicle May Not Start Due To Loose Pin Fit or Backed Out Terminals

Models:2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Two-Mode Hybrid
2008 GMC Yukon Two-Mode Hybrid
Equipped With a 2ML70 Transmission RPO M99



The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Customer may comment that the vehicle will not start or the engine will not crank, technicians may find any one of or a combination of dtc's P0A3F, P0A40, P0A45, P0A46, P1B03, P1B04.

Recommendation/Instructions:

The concern may be caused by loose pin terminals or backed out terminals at the transmission 24 way pass through connector X176, reference SI document #1985309 item #3 for connector location. Repair or replace terminals as necessary.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
