Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Utility

1. Remove the top fascia retainers.
2. Disconnect the license plate lamp harness.
3. Raise and support the vehicle with suitable safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
4. Remove the Spare Tire Wheel Hoist Guide Retaining Clips. Refer to Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement in Tires and Wheels.
5. Remove the push-pin retainers from the underside of the fascia.
6. Remove the fascia from the impact bar.

1. Align the locator pin of the fascia to the hole in the impact bar.



2. Press the push-pin retainers into the underside of the fascia.
3. Install the Spare Tire Wheel Hoist Guide Retaining Clips. Refer to Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement in Tires and Wheels.
4. Remove the safety stands, and lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the license plate lamp harness.
6. Install the top fascia retainers.

Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Avalanche

1. Remove the Left/Right Side Step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Outer Pad Replacement .
2. Remove the Left/Right Side Step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
3. Remove the Center Step Pad. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Center Pad Replacement .
4. Remove the Spare Wheel Hoist Guide Shaft from vehicle. Refer to Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement in Tires and Wheels.
5. Release the retainers from the underside of the fascia.



6. Remove the Fascia from the impact bar.

1. Install the fascia onto the impact bar.
2. Install the retainers into the underside of the fascia.
3. Install the Spare Wheel Hoist Guide Shaft from vehicle. Refer to Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement in Tires and Wheels.
4. Install the Center Step Pad. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Center Pad Replacement .
5. Install the Left/Right Side Step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
6. Install the Left/Right Side Step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Outer Pad Replacement .

Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Escalade EXT

1. Remove the rear license plate and attaching hardware from the rear bumper.
2. Remove the spare tire wheel hoist guide and retaining clip. Refer to Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement in Tires and Wheels.
3. Remove the top fascia step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
4. Remove the center fascia step pad. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Center Pad Replacement .
5. Remove the rear object sensors. Refer to Rear Object Sensor Replacement in Rear Parking Assist.



6. Remove the rear fascia from the bumper bar.

1. Install the rear fascia to the bumper bar.
2. Install the rear object sensors. Refer to Rear Object Sensor Replacement in Rear Parking Assist.
3. Install the center fascia step pad. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Center Pad Replacement .
4. Install the top fascia step pads. Refer to Rear Bumper Step Pad Replacement .
5. Install the spare tire wheel hoist guide and retaining clip. Refer to Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement in Tires and Wheels.
6. Install the rear license plate and attaching hardware from the rear bumper.
