  5. Object Number: 787213 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid pressure sensor.

  7. Object Number: 787218 Size: SH

Important: The replacement of the old brake fluid pressure sensor must be performed quickly to reduce the amount of fluid that is lost during the procedure.

  8. Use a wrench to keep the brake fluid pressure sensor collar from turning (1).
  9. Remove the brake fluid pressure sensor (2) from the BPMV.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 787218 Size: SH

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Quickly install the new brake fluid pressure sensor (2) to the BPMV as soon as the old sensor has been removed.
  2. Use a wrench to keep the brake fluid pressure sensor collar from turning (1).

    Tighten
Tighten the brake fluid pressure sensor to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
