Dealership personnel should be advised that during Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), the second row left and right seat belt latch plates should be inspected for proper positioning in order to prevent rattles when not in use.
Important: The illustration in this service bulletin is of the right side second row seating position. Left side seating position opposite.
Remove any twists from the seat belt webbing material (3) and allow the belt to hang down between the outboard side of the second row seat (5) and the interior trim panel (2). The latch plate (4) should slide down the webbing material until it contacts the loop (1) in the webbing material. When properly positioned, the seat belt latch plate will be resting on the webbing material loop facing the side of the second row seat. The webbing material loop will insulate the latch plate from the interior trim panel and prevent a rattle.
