Unable to Locate RTD Suspension Compressor Stated in Service Information (SI)

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Unable to locate the compressor for the RTD suspension system.

SI mentions that system consists of a number of components including a compressor ( Document ID Number 663828 ) for 2001, and (Document Number 747175 ) for 2002.

RTD system is utilized on utilities only. The compressor is used for load leveling on the 1500 series only; the 2500 series vehicle does not use a compressor.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
