Preliminary Procedures

1. Deploy and support the power assist step.
2. Use a grease pencil to outline the location of the power assist step front bracket location on the power assist step.
3. Remove the power assist front bracket to power assist step bolts. Refer to Assist Step Replacement
4. Remove the power assist step motor. Refer to Assist Step Motor Replacement .

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)
