Cruise Control Cable Adjustment V8

The cruise control cable lash should be automatically set at 3.25 mm (0.128 in) with tolerance limits of 0-6 mm (0-0.2 in) when the cable is installed. If an adjustment is necessary, use the following procedure:

Notice: Do not remove the C-clip from the cruise control connector. The C-clip was not designed for removal. Damage may occur when removing.

1. Rotate the black plastic screw in order to obtain the correct adjustment.



2. Stop rotating with the screw resting in a detent position.

The cruise control cable lash should be automatically set at 3.25 mm (0.128 in) with tolerance limits of 0-6 mm (0-0.2 in) when the cable is installed. If an adjustment is necessary, use the following procedure:

1. Squeeze the tangs at the top of the cruise control adjuster in order to unlock the cable adjuster plunger.
2. Allow the throttle lever to return to the idle position.



3. Push the cable adjuster plunger into the locked position.
