Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Extended Cab
Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
.
- Unfasten the J-clip on
the rear of the seat. Pull back the trim cover in order to expose the seat
back side bolts (1).
- Remove the seat back side bolts from the seat back.
- Remove the seat back from the seat.
Installation Procedure
- Position the seat back on the seat.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the seat
back side bolts (1).
Tighten
Tighten the seat back side bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
- Pull the trim cover over the seat. Fasten the J-clip.
- Install the rear seat in the vehicle. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
.
Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement Extended Cab w/ 4th Door
Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
.
- Remove the armrest. Refer to
Rear Seat Armrest Replacement
.
- Open the access flaps at the lower rear corners of the seat back
in order to allow access to the seat-back-to-frame retaining bolts.
- Remove the bolts from the seat back frame (6).
- Remove the seat back frame (6) from the seat back cushion frame
(7).
Installation Procedure
- Install the seat back frame (6) to the seat back cushion frame (7).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant

- Install the bolts
to retain the seat back frame to the seat cushion frame.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to retain the seat back frame to the seat cushion
frame to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
- Secure the access flaps at the lower rear corners of the seat
back.
- Secure the armrest to the seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Armrest Replacement
.
- Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
.
Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement 60/40 Split
Removal Procedure
- Remove the seat from the vehicle. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
.
- Remove the armrest. Refer to
Rear Seat Armrest Replacement
.
- Open the access flaps at the lower rear corners of the seat back
to allow access to the seat back frame retaining bolts.
- Remove the bolts from the seat back frame.
- Remove the seat back frame (10) from the seat back cushion frame
(11).
Installation Procedure
- Install the seat back frame (5) to the seat cushion frame.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or

- Install the bolts
which retain the seat back frame (11) to the seat cushion frame.
Tighten
Tighten the seat back frame bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).
- Secure the access flaps at the lower rear corners of the seat
back.
- Install the armrest to the seat back. Refer to
Rear Seat Armrest Replacement

- Install the seat to the vehicle. Refer to
Rear Seat Replacement
