Did you perform the Power Sunroof Diagnostic System Check?

Perform the sunroof re-initialization. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Select the power window lockout switch to the OFF position.
  3. Operate the RF power window switch.

Does the window operate?

  1. Disconnect the sunroof switch harness connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit at the sunroof switch harness connector and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Is the sunroof glass between the closed and vent position?

Connect a fused jumper wire between the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit and sunroof switch open/tilt down signal circuit at the sunroof switch harness connector for 3 seconds.

Did the sunroof slide either to the closed or open position?

  1. Disconnect the sunroof module harness connector.
  2. Test the sunroof switch open/tilt down signal circuit for an open, short to voltage and short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Remove the PWR WDO circuit breaker from the junction block-I/P.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the PWR WDO circuit breaker cavity of the junction block-I/P, that receives voltage from the RAP 2 relay, to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test the RAP 2 fused supply voltage circuit for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Remove any jumper wires.
  3. Reconnect all previously disconnected components.
  4. Replace the fuse if necessary.
  5. Re-initialize the sunroof. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .
  6. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
