Reviewing the Description and Operation information will help you determine the correct symptom diagnostic procedure when a malfunction exists. Reviewing the Description and Operation information will also help you determine if the condition described by the customer is normal operation. Refer to Symptoms - Seats
in order to identify the correct procedure for diagnosing the system and where the procedure is located.
Begin the system Diagnosis with Diagnostic System Check - Power Seat Systems.
The Diagnostic System Check will provide the following information.
• | Identification of the control module(s) that command the system. |
• | The ability of the control module(s) to communicate with a serial data circuit. |
• | Identification of stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and their status. |
