When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
SERVICE VME
Some customers may comment that their outside rearview heated, manual folding Mirror ( RPO DL8 ) has loose glass or the glass has fallen out. Root cause may be poor adhesion due to less than robust heater pads. Supplier has improved their adhesion processes and vehicles produced after October 1, 2003 should not exhibit this concern. Fix is to replace mirror glass and backing plate.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
