The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Intermittent stall, low power, and hard restart when the vehicle is used during high ambient temperatures and in high altitudes. After the engine cools down, the vehicle may restart and run fine. During diagnosis, lean codes P0171/P0174 may be found.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Complete current SI diagnostics for any trouble codes or symptoms found.

If the customer concern of stalling can be duplicated, monitor the fuel pump pressure. If the fuel pressure is low during the concern, the fuel pump will need to be replaced. There are updated fuel pump modules available for this concern.
