Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1861847 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the steering shaft coupling from the upper intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement.
  2. Remove the 3 steering column seal nuts (2).
  3. Remove the steering column seal (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1861847 Size: SH
  1. Install the steering column seal (1) to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the 3 steering column seal nuts (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  3. Connect the steering shaft coupling to the upper intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement.
