Core and Tanks

The core is made of aluminum and is of the crossflow design. The core utilizes large tubes that resist plugging. Repairs to the tubes and the core are not recommended for service.

The core is attached to the tanks by clinched tabs on the core that cannot be bent back. If the tank or core is at fault, a complete radiator must be replaced.

Transmission Oil Cooler

The transmission oil cooler is located in the right hand side of the radiator side tanks. The transmission oil cooler cannot be replaced.

Engine Oil Cooler

The engine oil cooler is mounted inside the left tank with the inlet and the outlet fittings for engine oil circulation. Only the 6.0L engines are equipped with engine oil coolers. The engine oil cooler cannot be replaced.
