Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 385766  Size: SH
  1. Remove the spare wheel stowage lock cylinder.

  2. Object Number: 385791  Size: SH
  3. Remove the spare tire from the hoist.

  4. Object Number: 385765  Size: SH
  5. Remove the spare wheel hoist shaft guide from the bumper.
  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  7. Object Number: 385768  Size: SH
  8. Remove the spare wheel hoist shaft guide from the spare wheel hoist.

  9. Object Number: 355994  Size: SH
  10. Remove the bolt.
  11. Remove the hoist from the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 355994  Size: SH
  1. Install the hoist to the crossmember.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  5. Install the spare wheel hoist shaft guide from the spare wheel hoist.
  6. Remove the safety stands.
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  9. Install the spare wheel hoist shaft guide to the bumper.

  10. Object Number: 385791  Size: SH
  11. Install the spare tire to the hoist.

  12. Object Number: 385766  Size: SH
  13. Install the spare wheel stowage lock cylinder.
