Did you review the Wiper/Washer System Circuit Description and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Turn ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the wiper/washer switch connector C201C.
  3. Measure the resistance from terminal E5 to terminal E4 of connector C201C using a J 39200 .
  4. Move the wiper/washer switch through all the steps of DELAY while backprobing.

Does the resistance values vary within the specified range?

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle .

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Reconnect connector C201C.
  2. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor connector.
  3. Turn the ignition ON.
  4. Turn the wiper switch to DELAY.
  5. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector, terminal E, to ground using a J 39200 .

Is the voltage measured within the specified value?

10.5-15 V

Replace the windshield wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement

Repair the open in CKT 112.
