Did you perform the Wiper/Washer Diagnostic System Check?

Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the low washer switch connector.
  3. Turn ON the ignition switch with the engine OFF.
  4. With a DMM measure the voltage between the BLK WHT (174) wire cavity A and ground.

Does the voltage measure near the specified value?

9-16 V

Go to Step 4

Measure voltage between the low windshield washer fluid indicator lamp feed circuit and a good ground.

Does the DMM display battery voltage?

9-16 V

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 9

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Test the low windshield washer fluid indicator lamp feed circuit for a open.

Did you find the condition?

9-16 V

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Replace the low washer switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Repair the open in the low windshield washer fluid indicator lamp feed circuit.

Repair the open in the switch ground circuit between the low washer switch and G100.

Did you complete the repair?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
