Did you perform the Wiper/Washer Diagnostic System Check?

Verify the fault is present.

Does the system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the low washer switch connector.
  3. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
  4. With the scan tool select the Instrument Panel Cluster, Data Display, Outputs and monitor the Low Washer Fluid value.

Does the Low Washer Fluid display the specified value?

OFF

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster.
  2. Connect a test light between the low windshield washer fluid indicator lamp feed circuit and a battery positive voltage circuit.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 7

Replace the low washer switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Replace the instrument cluster . Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Repair the short to ground in the low windshield washer fluid indicator lamp feed circuit between the cluster and low washer switch.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
