Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Important: If the snap on/off feature on the trim covers were damaged during the removal procedure, you must use screws for the installation procedure. If screws were present in the trim covers before the removal procedure, you must use the screws during the installation procedure.
If there was not any damage done to the trim covers during the removal procedure and no screws were present, proceed to step 3.Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).
• | Tighten 1 pan head tapping screw (1) to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in). |
