Memory Seat System Components
The memory seat system consists of the following components:
• | Seat Front Vertical Motor |
• | Seat Rear Vertical Motor |
Memory Seat System Description
The Memory Seat Module controls the movement of the 4 seat position
motors. The motors that the Memory Seat Module can operate when memory is
recalled is the horizontal motor, the front vertical motor, the rear vertical
motor, and the recline motor. Battery positive voltage for memory motor movement
is supplied through a circuit breaker to the Power Seat Switch and the Memory
Seat Module. The ground path is provided through the Memory Seat Module ground
circuit. For information on how the motors operate with the Power Seat Switch
and the Memory Seat Module, refer to
Power Seats System Description and Operation
.
Memory Inhibit/Enable
The Power Seat is able to adjust to predetermined positions when requested
to by the Memory Seat Switch. The Power Seat will move to the last position
that set into memory. The Memory Seat Module receives all input from the
Memory Seat Switch through the Memory Seat Switch signal circuits. When the
ignition switch is in the OFF position, setting memory position, memory
recall 1 and 2 , and personalization recall are all allowed. When the ignition
switch is turned to the ON position and the gear selector is in the PARK
position, only the recall personalization function is deactivated and all
other memory functions are allowed. When the ignition switch is in the ON
position and the gear selector is out of the PARK position, memory record
is allowed, but all other memory seat functions are not allowed. This prevents
the Memory Seat Module from changing the position of the seat when the vehicle
is moving. For information on how to set and personalize the memory seat
refer to
