The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Erratic fuel gauge operation or vehicle may run out of fuel while the fuel gauge still indicates there is fuel in the tank.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If an updated sending unit is needed for a GMT830 5.3 L59 vehicle ( Escalade ESV, Yukon XL, Suburban ) advise the dealer to start a SPAC case and order part number 88966963.
