The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The driver's heated seat switch back lighting may be inoperative after replacing or reprogramming the DDM (Driver Door Module) on vehicles equipped with the vertical camper mirrors RPO DPN. This concern may also occur if the vehicle was upfitted with
the vertical camper mirrors DPN and the DDM was reprogrammed for these mirrors. The passenger's heated switch back lighting will operate normally.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering is currently aware of this concern. At this time, the repair is to reprogram the DDM as if the vehicle has the power folding mirrors RPO DL3. Even though the vehicle is equipped with the vertical camper mirrors RPO DPN, programming the DDM
as with DL3 will not effect the operation and all features will operate normally.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
