The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may comment that the upper 1/3 of the navigation screen will be distorted or have a darker band. This concern will only be noticed with the radio on the 3D navigation screen, all other radio or navigation screens will not have this complaint.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This distorted or darker band is normal when on the 3D navigation screen. The band is there to emulate the horizon. Do Not Replace The Radio For This Concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
