Rear Side Door Molding Replacement Escalade

Rear Side Door Center Molding Assembly

Caution: Refer to Exterior Trim Emblem Removal Caution in the Preface section.

Tip

  1. The part and surface should be 21°C (70°F) prior to installation. The vehicle should remain 21°C (70°F) for one hour after assembly to allow adhesive to develop sufficient bond strength.
  2. Use a J-25070 Heat Gun to remove the rear side door molding.
  3. When removing protective liners from the adhesive tape, be careful not to touch tape with the hands and do not allow the tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.
  4. Clean all the adhesive from the door side and wipe the surface dry with a clean lint-free towel prior to installing new rear side door molding.
  5. Ensure to close the door prior to attaching the new molding to the rear side door.
  6. Peel the protective liner from the adhesive tape and secure the rear side door molding to the door.
  7. Align the locating pin at the front of the molding in the door first followed by the rear.
  8. Using a towel and hand pressure, wet out the entire length of the molding starting at the front edge working rearward.
