Removal Procedure


Object Number: 25616  Size: SH

The crankcase depression regulator valve (1) is replaced as an assembly. Replace hoses (3) and pipes (3) and grommet (4) as required, if inspection indicates cracks or decay.

Refer to the appropriate service information for diesel crankcase ventilation system maintenance requirements.


    Object Number: 25622  Size: SH
  1. Remove clamp (1) at CDR valve (1).
  2. Remove hose (3) from CDR valve (1).
  3. Remove CDR valve by pulling straight up.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 25616  Size: SH
  1. Install CDR valve (1) into valve cover.
  2. Install hose (3).
  3. Install the clamp (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten clamp to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
