Body Mount Replacement Extended Cab

Removal Procedure

Properly support the frame while changing the cab mounts. Lower the side where the mount is placed in order to provide clearance for the mount when changing only 1 mount.

  1. Raise the vehicle on the hoist.
  2. Place the jack stands under the cab on the side of the vehicle where the mounts are positioned.
  3. Loosen the mounting bolts on the side where the mounts are positioned.

  4. Object Number: 277629  Size: SH
  5. Remove the mounting bolt (3).
  6. Remove the lower cushion retainer (4).
  7. Remove the lower cushion (5).
  8. Lower the hoist and support the cab with the vehicle jacks.
  9. Remove the upper cushion (6).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 277629  Size: SH
  1. Install the upper cushion (6).
  2. Raise the frame on the hoist.
  3. Install the lower cushion (5).
  4. Install the lower cushion retainer (4).
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the mounting bolt (3), and remove the jacks.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolts to 75 N·m (55 lb ft).

  8. Lower the hoist.

Body Mount Replacement 2 Door Utility

Removal Procedure
