OnStar GPS Antenna Replacement Retained By Adhesive

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 621410  Size: SH
  3. Remove the Headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the GPS antenna (1) from the roof.

  5. Object Number: 621413  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the antenna cable (1) from the windshield.

  7. Object Number: 569466  Size: SH
  8. Clean the old residue from the windshield using a razor blade and isopropyl alcohol.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 569466  Size: SH
  1. Prepare the interior glass using isopropyl alcohol pad and a clean lint-free cloth.

  2. Object Number: 621412  Size: SH
  3. Remove the backing on the metallic strip (2) from the antenna housing (1).

  4. Object Number: 621410  Size: SH
  5. Install the GPS antenna (1) on the inside to the roof.

  6. Object Number: 621413  Size: SH
  7. Reconnect the GPS antenna electrical connector (1).
  8. Reinstall the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Reinstall the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

OnStar GPS Antenna Replacement Retained By Bracket

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 813589  Size: SH
  1. Remove the antenna by sliding it towards the front of the vehicle from the bracket in small increments.
  2. Disconnect the coaxial cable from the antenna.
  3. Remove the antenna from the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 813589  Size: SH
  1. Install the antenna to the bracket in order to connect the coaxial cable.
  2. Connect the coaxial cable to the antenna.
  3. Slide the antenna till it clicks in place.
