Fuel Strainer Replacement E85

1. Remove the fuel sending unit. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
2. Use a small screwdriver to remove the fuel sender strainer (1).

Use care not to break the strainer locating tab.




3. Disconnect the fuel transfer tube (1) and level sensor (2) from the sender housing (3). Remove the housing.



4. Use a small screwdriver to remove the fuel pump strainer (1).

1. Install the fuel pump strainer (1).

Make sure the strainer is fully seated to the bottom of the fuel pump (2) and in the correct position (3).




2. Install the fuel transfer tube and fuel level sensor to the sender housing.



3. Make sure the strainer is fully seated to the bottom of the housing.
4. Install the fuel sending unit. Refer to Fuel Sender Assembly Replacement .
