Removal Procedure
- Loosen the air cleaner resonator outlet duct clamp at the mass air flow(MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.
- Loosen the air cleaner resonator outlet duct clamp at the throttle body.
- Separate the air cleaner resonator outlet duct from the MAF/IAT sensor.
- Separate the air cleaner resonator outlet duct from the throttle body.
- Remove the air cleaner resonator outlet duct.
Installation Procedure
- Install the air cleaner resonator outlet duct.
- Install the air cleaner resonator outlet duct to the throttle body.
- Align the stud on the throttle body with the screw on the clamp.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Tighten the air cleaner resonator outlet duct clamp at the throttle body.
Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
