Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 741400 Size: SH
  1. Remove the removable window panel.
  2. Remove the trim panel (1) along the rear of the headliner. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior trim.
  3. Remove the latch retaining bolts.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the latch.
  5. Remove the latch from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 741400 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the latch.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the latch retaining bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the trim panel (1). Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior trim.
  4. Install the removable window panel.
