Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1424822 Size: SH
  1. Lower the endgate.
  2. Remove the rear compartment cover assembly.

    3. Object Number: 741577 Size: SH
  3. Remove the assist handle. Refer to Endgate Assist Handle Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 741566 Size: SH
  4. Remove the top drain grate.
  5. Remove the cargo box bridge side inner panel. Refer to Cargo Box Bridge Side Inner Panel Replacement .

    6. Object Number: 741586 Size: SH
  6. Remove the bolt (2) from inside the cargo box stowage lid assembly.
  7. Remove the bolts (1) from the top of the stowage lid.

    8. Object Number: 1291799 Size: SH
  8. Remove the screw (1) hidden below the seal at the front of the cargo box stowage box, if equipped.
  9. Remove the cargo box stowage box water run channel.
  10. Remove the cargo box from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 741586 Size: SH
  1. Install the cargo box stowage lid to the vehicle.

    2. Important: Ensure that the feather edge is properly sealed to the glass and side panels.

  2. Install the water run channel.

    3. Object Number: 1291799 Size: SH
  3. If equipped, install the screw (1) hidden below the water run channel at the front of the cargo box.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 741586 Size: SH
  4. Install the bolts to the cargo box stowage lid.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the bolt inside the cargo box stowage lid assembly.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the cargo box bridge side inner panel. Refer to Cargo Box Bridge Side Inner Panel Replacement .

    7. Object Number: 741577 Size: SH
  7. Install the assist handle. Refer to Endgate Assist Handle Replacement .

    8. Object Number: 1424822 Size: SH
  8. Install the rear compartment cover assembly.
  9. Close the endgate.
