The park enable relay control circuit is a voltage output from the body control module (BCM) energizing the PARK ENABLE PCB relay in the left instrument panel junction block. Voltage is applied to the park enable relay control circuit under different circumstances for different subsystems depending on vehicle content. Refer to the applicable Description and Operation for a more detailed explanation of the control of the park enable relay control circuit.
• | The system voltage is between 9-16 volts. |
• | The DTC can only set when the output is actively being requested by the module. |
There is a short to ground on the park enable relay control circuit.
The module output driver will be shut down and not supply voltage to the circuit.
• | A current DTC will clear when the malfunction is no longer present. |
• | A history DTC clears when the module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold of 50, without a repeat of the malfunction. |
