Supplement to 06008A - Power Liftgate Functionality Improvement - keywords calibration campaign control DCS1512 E61 gate inventory lift module message pressure reprogram RKE remote tire TPM

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

While performing 06008A, there have been some cases that the complete procedure has not been followed. If every step is not completed, some functions of the vehicle may be inoperative, example RKE, Tire Pressure Monitor, etc.

Important: It is critical to follow all the steps of 06008A, particularly steps 12-17. If these steps are not followed several DTCs, lost of communication with modules, and various other concerns could happen.

If a vehicle has various concerns after 06008A, first complete every step of 06008A. If this does not correct the concerns, disconnect the battery cables and touch them together for 30 seconds and reconnect. In most cases, this will reset the modules and everything will operate correctly.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
