The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
When SPS programming a Power Liftgate Module (PLGM) it may be noticed that the programming event stopped before it was complete.
Engineering is working to correct this condition in the future. To complete programming, if this occurs simply remove the "OBS DET" 10 amp fuse from the I/P Fuse Block for 30 seconds to reset the PLGM. Then select the "RETRY" soft key on the Tech 2 or if that is not available go back to "Service Programming System" (F1) with the Tech 2 and select "REPROGRAM".
Note: Do not start the complete service programming procedure over again by "Requesting Info" as this could lock up the module and make it inoperative.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
