The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A 2007 Escalade, Tahoe, or Yukon may be brought in for a SES light on and DTC P1400.
There is an updated calibration available for vehicles with an intermittent P1400.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Complete the current SI diagnosis for any symptoms or trouble codes found. If a P1400 for the Cold Start Emission Reduction Control System is the only DTC set, recalibrate the vehicle using the TIS2000 software released on April 3rd 2006 or later. Clear the codes, drive for 5 minutes, shut of the engine for at least 1 hour, and restart to confirm no re-occurrence.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
