The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may complain that the sunroof stops at 80% when opening. They have to release and press the switch a second time to fully open the sunroof.
Recommendation/Instructions:
From the full closed position, the sunroof is designed to stop at 80 % of the opening cycle. The customer will have to release the sunroof close switch and press the switch down again to completely open the sunroof. This change was implemented on vehicles built April 10, 2006 and later. The sunroof change was made to reduce a boom/wind buffeting noise at 25-40 MPH.
Note: Vehicles built before April 10, 2006 will express open to the full open position on the first button press.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
