This PI was updated to incorporate the fix and perform the pro-active. Please discard PIT4074.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state there is a clunk or pop type noise coming from the power liftgate assembly when the liftgate reaches the full open position.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If you experience this concern, please do not replace any parts on the vehicle. Reprogram the Power Liftgate Module (PLGM) with the latest software available in TIS-2-web to resolve the concern.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
