The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

2007 Full-Size Trucks + Utilities Accessories XM Satellite Radio: Unable to Activate
A software problem was found in the XM Satellite Radio Inc. activation network that would prevent the XM Receiver in the 2007 Full-Size Truck / Utilities (GMT900) Accessories XM Satellite Radio Kit (P/N 17801150) from activating. The XM Receiver would remain un-activated after repeated activation attempts and would tune only to the XM Preview Channels.
XM Satellite Radio Inc. resolved this activation network issue on February 27, 2007. If an XM Satellite Radio Kit could not be activated on or prior to this date, the XM Receiver should not be replaced. Rather, the activation procedure should once again be performed. The XM Receiver will then activate normally and tune to the entire XM channel line-up.
Note: Only the 2007 Full-Size Truck / Utilities (GMT900) Accessories XM Satellite Radio Kit (P/N 17801150) was impacted by this issue. Factory-installed (OE) XM Receivers were not impacted.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
