The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may experience a whine or hiss noise heard in the headphones on vehicles equipped with a GM Accessories Headrest DVD system. This noise may change with engine RPM and is often described as an alternator whine.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Accessories Engineering is currently working with Platform Engineering to evaluate various options & validate a corrective action to address this concern. Further details will follow once corrective action has been identified & validated
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
