The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state that when listening to a particular XM channel the display may change to another XM channel but the original XM channel is still playing.
For example: Customer is listening to a country station with the display showing "Country" and for no apparent reason the display changes to "Talk Radio" while the country station is still playing.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Please do not replace the XM receiver or the radio to resolve this concern. The concern is internal to the radio and a new software calibration is available. If a customer experiences this concern, please update the radio software with the latest calibration that is available through TIS-2-Web.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
