THIS SERVICE UPDATE INCLUDES VEHICLES IN DEALER INVENTORY AND CUSTOMER VEHICLES THAT RETURN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR ANY REASON. IT WILL EXPIRE AT THE END OF THE INVOLVED VEHICLE'S NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD.

Purpose

This bulletin provides a service procedure to inspect the heater hose quick connection to ensure it is fully engaged on certain 2008 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV; Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe; and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL vehicles. The heater hose quick connect may not be fully seated and engaged, which could result in the loss of coolant and an engine overheat condition.

This service procedure should be completed as soon as possible on involved vehicles currently in dealer inventory and customer vehicles that return to the dealer/retailer for any type of service during the New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage period.

Vehicles Involved

A list of involved vehicles currently in dealer inventory is available on the "Service Update Bulletin Information" link under the "Service" tab in DealerWorld or attached to the Dealer Communication (Canada) used to release this bulletin. Object Number: 2061880 Size: SH

Caution: Do not run the engine while performing the inspection. Wait for the engine and the cooling system to cool before performing the inspection. Heater and radiator hoses and other engine parts can be very hot. Do not touch them while the engine is running. If you do, you can be burned. Do not run the engine if there is a leak.     • Inspect the connection of these two hoses at the heater core pipe location.
      • If there is a good connection, close the hood. No further action is required.
      • If there is NOT a good connection, firmly push the quick connect feature of the hose onto the heater core pipe until you hear a click.
    • Close the hood.
