The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
In order to assist technicians in diagnostics and determine root cause of any hybrid DTC or driveability issue, engineering is asking the technicians to capture and save freeze frame data records. Engineering needs to capture freeze frame records from the HPC Hybrid Powertrain Controller or HPCM as well as any other powertrain control modules that have stored DTCs.
Data capture needs to occur prior to clearing codes or disconnecting the 12v battery or discharging 12v battery. Engineering is asking for your assistance for the duration of the Launch Action Center. Technical Assistance, Action Center Manager, or Engineering may be asking you to email the freeze frame records to assist in diagnosis and repair of hybrid vehicles.
Save the data using the capture info option in the Tech 2. Download the data to tis2web just as you would a snap shot and using the e-mail function in tis2web send the data to the e-mail address listed below, include on the subject line the code number and module it was pulled from. Engineering is interested in ALL codes in the hybrid and powertrain system so make note that it may take multiple e-mails to send all the information.
