This PI was superceded to change part number of APM (Old P/N: 24243426). Please discard PIT4539B.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Starting November 16, 2007 The following parts will be on parts restriction through the GM Technical Assistance Center:

1. Accessory DC Power Control Module (APM) Part Number 24246200
2. Serial Data Gateway Module Part Number 25883951
3. Engine Control Module (ECM) Part Number 12611182
4. Drive Motor Generator Control Module (PIM) Part Number 12624430
5. Transmission Auxiliary Fluid Pump Control Module Part Number 29547550
6. Electronic Power Steering Motor Control Module Part Number 25916075
7. Battery Pack Assembly Part Number 19180442
8. A/C compressor Part Number 25880380

Note: The Electronic Brake Control Module (P/N 25909777) and the Brake Pressure Module Valve Assembly (P/N 15879113) for the Hybrid vehicles is also on restriction but must be ordered through the PAC after filling out a special questionnaire. (Please refer to PI: PIT4383C for special instructions on ordering one of the two parts above.)

If SI service diagnostics leads to replacing one of the parts listed above, please contact the Technical Assistance Center @ 1-877-446-8227 and select the appropriate hybrid group prior to replacment.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
