- Inspect the control valve body for the following:
- Inspect the pump components for the following:

| • | A worn, scored, or damaged pump pocket |
| • | Interconnected oil passages |
| • | Damaged machine surfaces |
| • | A worn, scored, or gouged pump slide |
| • | Cracks, wear, or damage to the rotor or to the vanes |
| • | Cuts or damage to the seals |
