Tools Required
| • | J 35495 Fluid Pump Puller
Adapters (two required) |
- Remove six bolts from the fluid pump
assembly (764).
- Thread a J 35495
and a J 6125-1B
into each side of the pump
body, directly across from each other.
Important: While you are performing this next step, be careful not to drop the
input shaft bearing or the race, which may adhere to the rear of the pump.
- Using both slide hammers, gently tap outwards on both sides of the pump
body at the same time until the fluid pump is free from the transaxle case.
- Inspect the following parts for cuts or damage:
| • | The fluid pump cover seal rings |
| • | The fluid pump cover seal |
| • | The input shaft fluid seal |
