For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove all internal and external bolts which attach the transaxle case to the transaxle case housing (701). Note the position of the three Torx® head bolts (703).
- Gently tap around the transaxle case housing with a rubber mallet in order to remove the case housing from the transaxle case.
- Remove the transaxle case housing-to-case gasket.
- Inspect the transaxle case housing-to-case mating surfaces for scars or damage.
